Afghans for Afghans-October 18th
Knit Night
Class Schedule

Greetings Knitters, Crocheters and Fiber Enthusiasts,
We hope you are all enjoying a seamless transition into Fall. The weather is changing and the nights are getting longer. This is the time when we like to imagine ourselves sitting around a warm fireplace, sipping cocoa, and playing with yarn. The reality is that we're more likely to sit around a warm TV set, sip wine, and watch the cat play with yarn. But then we remember -- the holidays are coming, and it's time to get to work!!

February Lady Sweater Knitalong- Come and knit this beautiful top down sweater. It is a modification of Elizabeth Zimmermann's February Baby sweater made to fit grown ups. You can come in, follow along with the Berkeley Stashers group on Ravelry.com, or both. We will meet on the 3rd Saturday of each month, beginning October 18 at 4:30.

Yellow Yarn- Contrary to popular belief, we at Stash like all colors of yarn but just to prove it to you come check out our newest yarn, Karabella's Aurora 4. Much like its beloved big sister Aurora 8, this yarn is soft, and versatile, with beautiful stitch definition and we have it in yellow (we have yellow in Aurora 8 and Aurora Bulky, too)!

What’s on our needles?
We are so grateful to all of you who come in and show us what you are working on that we thought maybe you would like to hear what we are up to.

Rebekah is knitting Lily from the online pattern shop, Twist Collective out of Classic Elite's very luscious Waterlily.
Nicole is knitting the Oat Couture "Edwardian carrying cape" out of Debbie Bliss's Cashmerino Aran. However in the interest of time, she may turn it into a blanket.
Ellen is knitting The Phyllo Yoked Pullover from Knitting Nature by Nora Gaughan. She is using Blue Sky Alpaca's Handspun organic cotton.
Christa and Anastasia are both knitting the Japanese Feather and Fan Stole, an online pattern by Izzyknits, although Christa's is on time-out at the moment. They are both using Lacey Lamb. Anastasia wisely chose size 4 needles while Christa foolishly settled on size 1. Christa hopes to finish hers in time to be buried in it.
We will try to have the projects with us so if you would like to see something just ask.

Afghans for Afghans: October 19, from 2:30-4:30, at Stash
On the third Sunday of each month from 2:30-4:30, Stash welcomes the afghans for Afghans knitting/crochet group. Long-time participants and new-comers are all welcomed! The afghans for Afghans project is currently in the middle of their campaign for *rectangle* wool shawls for Afghan mothers. You can find the guidelines and program details here on their website -- http://www.afghansforafghans.org/rectangleshawlcampaign.html

Please join us on the comfortable sofa and chairs in the back. Feel free to bring a friend. The more, the merrier.

Knit Night
Come join us for a respite from the over-planned, over-scheduled lives everyone seems to be living these days. Every Wednesday night we get together to socialize, knit, chat, show off our yarny triumphs, get sympathy for our yarny disasters, and basically just hang out. So please join us on Wednesdays @ 6:30pm- 9pm -- and bring your knitting! As always, Knit Nights are free!
